He is a PURE WHITE student bear, having a fast-disappearing typical American "little red one-room schoolhouse" embroidered boldly on his chest, proudly flying an American flag. On his back is a peace sign with "LOVE", "HOPE" and "PEACE" embroidered in colors, and he sports a DARK BLUE bow around his neck. Two versions are available: the 8 1/2" and the special 12" [THIS ITEM] bears. This is JC Bears FIRST National Mascot Bear, designed by a high school art teacher, and commemorates the red one-room school-house as a place where children learn, play and feel safe. Part of the company's profits on the sale of this special Bear are being donated to The Mile High United Way (Denver, Colorado) and Kids Peace. New 3rd Generation hang tag and clam-shell tag protector, 2nd Generation tush tag. [See PIC] These BEARS are truely LIMITED EDITION, and are NOT produced in the astronomical numbers of those other beanie critters that are so frustrating to find when they are just released-- except at flea markets and online at exagerated prices!! These CELEBRITY BEARS have been being retired with production runs of 15 - 23,000!! From a non-smoking traditional American SCHOOL HOUSE; stored in a zip-lock sleeping baggie since his adoption.
