- A new fine multicolored mane and tail

has been found in Canada on 14 December 1998

- A new version Batty has also appeared in
Canada in early December, having dark brown feet, ears, nose
and velcro fasteners, AND a tie-dyed fur-- AND the eyes are NOT BLACK as they are in the original version, rather
they are RED when looked at through a loop across the surface
of the eyes (they "look"
black unless viewed across the surface under a bright light!!)

PREDICTIONS FOR 1998

- Ty will retire the following
Beanies : Bernie, Blackie, Blizzard, Bones, Bongo, Chocolate, Crunch, Cubbie, Curly, Derby, Ears, Echo, Floppity, Hippity, Hoppity, Goldie, Lizzy, Lucky, Magic, Maple,
Nip,
Patti,
Pinky,
Rover,
Spike,
Spooky,
Valentino, Waves, 97 Teddy and Zip.
- There will be a new tie dyed frog or other reptile, dog, cat and bunny. Look
for new napped critters, at least
one new invertebrate, a couple new bears with at least one in pastel color, something
new with that kewl irridescent fabric,
at least one new prehistoric animal, a fish, another sea creature and a couple model variations
on existing Beanies. The tags will change again!

"RETIRE" also!!], Grace, Montgomery,

- N O T E :
On 5 November 1998 a NEW
ATTIC bear appeared mysteriously on the
eBay auction: MacKenzie, similar to Grant, BUT wearing a knit sweater with the Canadian Maple Leaf on the
front.THIS IS a Canadian "exclusive", as is Maple, and it may become very
highly sought after!! He was found with
the 6th generation brown hang tags as well as sporting the new 7th generation
red tag similar to that of Beanies.
- Weeks later, he still has NOT appeared
on the TY web site!!

- Another NEW Attic appeared in late November, JACK, same bear as MacK BUT wearing
a sweater with the Union Jack on it-- TY seems to be in the sweater
business now!! Guess it is easier than designing a kewl new bear??
Watch for one wearing the EEC sweater in the not too distant future!!
